Nobody ever graduated from a library…but no one ever graduated without one. The University of Wisconsin System Library provides opportunities for scholarship, research, and collaboration between campuses throughout Wisconsin, and supports 21,738 user sessions per day—adding up to 8 million visitors per year
The 11th largest research collection in North America, The UW Library System includes special collections of rare books and manuscripts, print materials, and digital access to thousands of electronic journals and databases. In 2014, library members performed over 12 million searches.
And the library is so much more than a home for information. Each library supports student engagement by providing study spaces for individual and group work; specialized spaces such as the Wisconsin Collaboratory for Enhanced Learning (WisCEL) in College Library and Wendt Commons also provide access to state of the art technologies for research needs.
An excellent library is an academic and community advantage for a university. Your contribution will continue to make scholarly resources accessible and available to our campus network, supporting our commitment to excellence in teaching, research and learning.
