Ideas That Are Changing Our World
Meet just a few of the movers and shakers of UW–Madison and discover how your university is changing the ways we think and live. Join us for lightning talks with top UW experts who will answer your questions.
Forces of Change: Critical Discoveries and Innovation at the UW
Hear from UW experts about forces that shaped our world — and continue to effect change even now.
- Dean Corbae — a professor of economics and finance focused on competition and stability in the banking industry
- John Hawks — an accomplished biological anthropologist whose fieldwork in Africa has uncovered new species and new questions about our origins
- Tracey Holloway — a renowned air quality scientist and team leader at NASA who researches the overlap between air quality, energy, climate, and public health
Hear a campus update directly from Chancellor Rebecca Blank, then join UW leaders and your fellow alumni, including Forward under 40 Award recipient Tim Hotchandani ’04, for a strolling supper. Cocktails will be included.
Alumni of Color Pre-Reception
This is an opportunity for Badgers of color to connect in a smaller, more casual gathering before the main program begins. Join us anytime from 4–6:15 p.m. for complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and socializing.
Plus, connect with special guests Patrick Sims, UW–Madison’s deputy vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion, and Emilie A. Hofacker ’04, MS’06, interim director of the Posse program.
